Unico Properties is currently rehabilitating the historic, eleven-story, Cobb Building and changing its use from offices to apartment dwellings. The building is the only surviving element in the Metropolitan Tract, an early 20th-century multi-block development in Seattle's downtown. The 1910 Cobb Building is listed on the National Register in recognition of its historic and architectural significance. In addition to its urban design qualities, it was the first medical office building in the West, and its finely detailed architectural design embodies both the Beaux-Arts and Commercial styles.

Susan Boyle served as the project's preservation consultant. Her role included coordination and review of the rehabilitation design by GGLO Architects, and development of application documents for the project's certification by the National Park Service for Investment Tax Credits. These credits will provide $10 million in funding for the estimated $50 million project. BOLA also provided technical design and specification services for the exterior restoration of the masonry facades, which include ornate patterned brick, field terra cotta and decorative terra cotta detailing.
