Constructed as the State Bank of Snoqualmie in 1923, the Snoqualmie City Hall is located in the center of the town's Historic Commercial District. The one and one half story, unreinforced, bearing brick masonry building had been altered only slightly since its construction, with the removal of the banking counters and the infill of the mezzanine railing in the 1940s. The structure retains its original large wood double-hung windows, and decorative exterior brickwork.

The building was left vacant due to damage suffered in the February 2001 Nisqually Earthquake. BOLA Architecture + Planning provided a condition assessment and design to restore the building's exterior, provide seismic, mechanical and electrical improvements, and modify the interior to recapture its original spatial and architectural character. Following the rehabilitation, the City's Planning Department moved into the building.  In the future, the space may become a community activity facility for events, celebrations, and public and private meetings and functions.  A small addition on the back of the building will be replaced in the future by a more visually compatible structure.
