The 3,100 sq ft Seymour Conservatory in Tacoma's Wright Park, is a 1907 era Victorian-style Greenhouse.  In 1992, BOLA provided research and a condition analysis that resulted in restoration of the building, including structural upgrades to address glazing and frame failure of the central dome.  The metal and glass of the structure had deteriorated due to the corrosive environment of heat, moisture, and airborne chemicals. In 2003, BOLA undertook a complete restoration of the building and updated a masterplan for its expansion.

BOLA developed the building masterplan for expansion with the Conservatory staff and public advisory groups to create a new program and design for the proposed expansion.  The proposed 6,200 square foot addition contains a tall palm house, classroom, library, display greenhouses, and offices.

BOLA also worked with SiteWorkshop and Metro Parks Tacoma on the Wright Park Masterplan for historic Wright Park.
