In June 2008, BOLA Architecture + Planning led a planning study for the University of Washington on a proposed move of the historic Cunningham Hall from its present site.

Cunningham Hall was originally built as the Washington State Women's Building and for the 1909 Alaska Yukon Pacific Exposition. The two-story 4,900 sq. ft. building is historically significanct because of its association with early 20th century women’s sufferage, and is listed on the Washington State Heritage Register.

BOLA’s study included a condition review of the building site and recommendations for rehabilitation and restoration; an analysis of the move route; reviews of the civil/utility and landscape issues of three potential new sites, and estimated construction costs. BOLA is presently completing design bid documents to move Cunningham Hall to a new site near Parrington Hall, and provide new landscaping, a restored porch, and exterior finishes.
