Sonja, a preservation planner, holds an M.A. in Historic Preservation Planning from Cornell University and a B.A. in Art History from Carleton College. She focuses on landmark nominations and evaluations, documentation of historic properties, and historic rehabilitation federal tax credit projects. Past projects include a historic resources survey of downtown Puyallup and both landmark nominations and a successful tax credit application for the Windham Apartments at 420 Blanchard, Seattle. Current projects include local landmark and National Register Nominations for Seattle's Naval Reserve Armory, as well as preparation of the tax credit application for its adaptive use as the Museum of History & Industry.
